INCLASS SPEAKING ACTIVITY

Today It is a must that the goal of  teaching should improve student’s communication skills, because, only in that way, learners can express themselves and learn how to follow the social and cultural rules appropriate in each communicative circumstance.

With this purpose, we at VNGSM grade 2 has initiated “INCLASS SPEAKING ACTIVITY” in EVS with a topic of “Food We eat”, “Houses we live in” & “My home”. Learners were given topics on lots and they made their determined effort to speak about their given topics. They brought cooked food items such as ragi dosa, fox tail millet, channa pea etc and spoke about the ingredients and its nutritional benefits. Same way, they  also spoke about the types of houses with the miniature house models they have made with cardboard.

We could see different versions of our kids while doing this activity. They have definitely come out of the stage fear and  collaborative learning happened at its best. Learners have also had the opportunity of communicating with each other in the target language. Most importantly it created a joy in learning.

Special mention to all the parents who have extended their support in supporting the kids by sending delicious food, house models etc. We will soon catch up with another exhilarating activity.
