Project Based Learning at VNGS-Adhanur

Project Based Learning was celebrated at Velammal New Gen School- Adhanur with enthusiasm on 7^th December, 2019. The celebration started at 10.30 am . Children joyfully exhibited their models and charts on the Theme “Plant Life” which included Types of  flowers, Types of Fruits, Types of  plants , Friends of a plant and Germination of a seed.

The Tiny Tots of Pre KG enlightened their parents by identifying the names of the fruits and their colours.  Children of JKG, happily  exhibited their plants and shared their learning with parents. They had a good knowledge about the types of plants.  The audience were impressed by listening to the explanation given on ‘Friends of the Plants’ and ‘Germination of a Seed’ by SKG. On the whole Project Based Learning gave all the children a joyful learning experience. By bringing real-life context and technology to the curriculum through a PBL approach, children were encouraged to become independent workers, critical thinkers and lifelong learners.

Parents applauded for the confidence shown by each child and shared that PBL helped them to know about their child’s potential and also paved way to exchange ideas with teachers. On the whole the day was filled with joyous learning atmosphere for the children and memorable moment for the parents.
