Exciting Learning Environments

    The Velammal group has been receiving many Global Cooperation Programs and delegates from other nations every year. This environment brings an international dimension to teaching and learning, where the students and teachers interact with delegates from another nation and improve a sense of collective ethos and identity.  Recently the Velammal NewGen School,South campuses viz,Medavakkam,Madipakkam,Shollinganallur,Navalur and Kelambakkam had a project on Indo-Japanese Cultural Exchange during the dussehra time from 12 th October 2018 to 17 th October 2018 and the excitement was in the air in these schools. The project had the displays of the Indian Golu and the Japanese Hinamatsuri doll displays, one beside the other.          We students of Velammal NewGen Schools, Chennai, hereby present the Comparative study of the cultural traits of India and Japan with specific reference to the Golu and Hinamatsuri doll displays. Our schools had the displays of Golu and Hinamatsuri ,one beside the other, during the second week of October 2018,which made us draw parallels and do this comparative study. On behalf of the management, staff and students of Velammal, we would like to thank the Culture and Information section of the Consulate of Japan and ABK AOTS Dosakai for the support. We students did a mini research and these are the findings. Worship   and greeting style -   Many traits of worship in Japan and India are similar .
