VNGS Medavakkam - Champions Sports Day 2020
"Never say never because limits, like fears are often just an illusion". Velammal New Gen School, Medavakkam hosted its 3 rd Champions meet “Champions’ 2020-21 on 29 th February, 2020 at the Medavakkam school grounds. The chief guest of the day was Thiru Lakshman Rohith Maradappa – 2018 Asian Games Rowing Champion and the Guest of Honor Thiru Lt.Col Dheeraj Sandhir –Special Training Officer at officers Training Academy, Chennai. The School principal Mr.Gnana Sekaran S.A and the vice Principal Mrs. Asha presided over the function. The Chief Guest and the guest of Honor were escorted by the Principal, for the inspection of the School captains and the four House contingents and the school band. A spectacular, impressive, and a well synchronized March Past by the four Houses contingents was a beautiful sight to witness. Thereafter, the Chief Guest administered oath to the School captains, which was followed by the lighting of the flame by the outstanding sports
