PBL or Project Based Learning is viewed by VNGK-Velammal New Gen Kids as a model for classroom activity that shifts away from teacher-centered instruction and emphasizes on student-centered projects. The PBL Expo at VNGS Medavakkam on 14 th December 2019 was also a Skill Expressive Champions Culmination Day, where the young students expressed the skills that they have acquired and knowledge gained on the project topics assigned to them. This PBL helped make learning relevant to students by establishing connections to life outside the classrooms and by addressing real world issues. In the 24 KG classrooms of the school, PBL gave teachers an opportunity to build relationships with students by acting as their coach, facilitator, and co-learner. On this Expo day the students’ projects were shared with other teachers, parents, and others who have a vested interest in the students' education.
