67th Senior National Volleyball Championship - Day 4

The nerve-racking Final Play-off matches between Delhi Vs Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan brought to a close a three days of some rattling volleyball encounters ever been had in this part of Chennai city. Velammal, Medavakkam, thanks to the vision of our CEO sir, has hosted a National level competitions with some startling success. Delhi emerged victorious over Gujarat in a long drawn battle with a score of 25-18,35-33,17-25 and 25-20. Uttar Pradesh had a relatively less pronounced win over Rajasthan with a score of 25-14,23-25,20-25,26-24 and 15-13. The heat that was created in the otherwise cold winter morning was such that much of the household around the ground in the thousand and odd apartments was found sheepishly necked out of their balconies trying to get glimpse of what was the rattle all about. In all, the 67th National Volleyball Competitions conducted in our school campus gave the world a feel of what was the DNA of VNGS Medavakkam. Kudos to the entire band of organizers for the mission accomplished.
