Student-led conference in place of a conventional PTODM…           “ A real good experience for us as parents, happy to see that our children have reflected on their performance ”, said the father of a grade 6 student. During conventional PTODMs, parents ask how their students are doing, and teachers provide grades, behavior reports and the report cards.   Instead, in a SLC- Student-led conference , our students ran the conference, informing their parents about how they were doing in class, what their goals are going forward, and what kind of learners they are.   Being a progressive school, we at Velammal Vidyalaya NewGen school ,Shollinganallur ran the SLC today,19 th October 2019 for grades VI-VIII. Parents were given appointments and each class had a waiting room and an SLC room.
