Republic Day Celebration

The 70^th Republic Day celebration was celebrated with much enthusiasm and vigor at Velammal Newgen school, Medavakkam, which was presided over by the School Group Head Mrs. Ramya Ramanan and the Heads of the school. The day was commerated with a special assembly by the school students who showed their patriotism by pledging to uphold their duties and responsibilities as true citizens of mother India. The highlight of the program was the March past and the maiden attempt of the school band which was performed beautifully and it added a whole new dimension to the parade. The flag was unfurled which fluttered as a symbol of unifying force for all Indians irrespective of caste, creed and colour. Thus the day invoked in every heart the true spirit of patriotism of the immeasurable love towards our mother India.
