VNGS Shollinganallur's visit to GEM EXPO ...

19th JANUARY 2019 dawned to be an exciting day for the students of VNGS Shollinganallur. It was their day out with their teachers and pals to the 2nd NATIONAL GASTRO EXPO 2019,by Gems Hospital, Perungudi. Students relished every moment of the exhibition which was very well organized. The entrance was a model of a mouth which triggered the interest levels in children which was overwhelming. It was as if they entered into some ones’ body. Excited children first visited the section on robotics in medical treatment and few children were given the hands on experience on these robotic equipments. Surgeons  attended to the students' doubts with more enthusiasm. Students also took surgical training which urged their interests to give their best. Abdomen related surgical equipments which were old and advanced were displayed. Learning became more curious and interesting when models of human bodies were displayed on how surgeries were done and real videos were also shown. Interesting part was learners were made aware of how they could take care of themselves and how they have to be alert about the symptoms that body shows. One floor was exclusive for boys. Our blooming VNGS photographers behind the lens clicked pictures to show case their talents. Competitions were held for students to be socially responsible. Games were also conducted and wow picture moments with photograph of theirs were given to the school. The day out was an amazing learning platform for our future doctors.
