VNGS Medavakkam - Grade 1& 2 EVS EXPO

The experiences of EVS help children to explore and connect with their natural and human made surroundings. VNGSM organized an EVS EXPO for the students of classes 1 & 2 today (25.01.2020) in the campus  .The objective was to showcase their knowledge of natural and human made surroundings.
The students were able to showcase their knowledge about EVS to their parents in the form of Speech, Mime, Skit and songs. The students and Parents loved the program.

We, the students of Grade 5 went for an educational trip to Aavin milk factory at Sholliganallur on 28.01.19.We were excited about the trip and were eagerly waiting for this day, as it was the first time we were going with our friends. We were curious to know how big the factory was and the number of processes that took place there. With a lot of expectations we entered the factory where we were taken on a tour by the guide. First we were taken to a big room with big containers in which the milk was collected from different places, filtered twice, and then boiled for 80 degree Celsius.   The milk is boiled at high temperature to kill the bacteria and then it was allowed to cool. Before sending it to the packing zone the milk is differentiated, as fat, medium fat and fat free milk. Sports, whether team-based or individual, are great for children as they provide not just physical activity, but also help build children’s self-esteem, confidence, social skills and motivate them to excel in life. In recognition of the importance of sports in a child’s life, Velammal New Gen Kids of Kelambakkam, Padur, Navalur and Sholinganallur organized their Annual Joint Sports Day for students of Play School, Jr. KG and Sr. KG in the PBEL City Ground Kelambakkam on February 16 th 2019.
