We, the students of Grade 5 went for an educational trip to Aavin milk factory at Sholliganallur on 28.01.19.We were excited about the trip and were eagerly waiting for this day, as it was the first time we were going with our friends. We were curious to know how big the factory was and the number of processes that took place there. With a lot of expectations we entered the factory where we were taken on a tour by the guide. First we were taken to a big room with big containers in which the milk was collected from different places, filtered twice, and then boiled for 80 degree Celsius.   The milk is boiled at high temperature to kill the bacteria and then it was allowed to cool. Before sending it to the packing zone the milk is differentiated, as fat, medium fat and fat free milk.
