From a parent…

Honestly, when I got the mail related to Skill Expressive Champions-culmination day, we were or at least I was quite skeptical and didn't know what to expect. But the day went down as one of the most memorable days in the year. The best part was that every kid had a chance to come in front and perform. Be it singing or recitation or reading. Even kids like my son who love everything to do with craft had a chance to show what they learnt.

We were treated to kids doing yoga and karate, which was such a delight to watch since it is not something we see every day. Then, the kids chanted slokas. It was really surprising to see that the kids have learnt so much extra than that of the curriculum. We, as parents often limit to asking “What did you do in class” to just the subjects. And this day reminded us that there is so much going on beyond the 5 subjects.

I was in awe to see the kids do mathematical sums in lightning fast speed. And not to forget the kids reading skill and the Hindi song. I was also happy to see the creative talent of the kids being stoked with art and crafts. Not to mention Thiruvalluvar making an appearance for us.

Overall, I just loved the entire production that the teachers had prepared for us. The children obliged the teacher and charmed us with their performances with such confidence. It was such a gratifying feeling to see the smile on all the kids' faces. I hope to see more such ‘skill expressive’ days from the school. I thank the school and the teacher for having us over and entertain us with our kids performing for us.
