From a parent...

Skill Expressive -Culmination day for the SKG at VNGS Medavakkam began with the warm welcome from the budding comperers. It was the platform for the students to showcase their learnings. The outcome of the whole academic year was revealed by the shining faces of the children. The celebration began with the school prayer and recital of the vowel and phonics song by children followed by identification of the sight words and numbers. The little ones demonstrated their language and mathematical skills through blending reading, reciting rhymes in both hindhi and tamil and backward counting. Message was also given by the children about good touch and bad touch. They also solved the puzzles given by their teacher on shapes. The children also displayed their knowledge on germination of seeds, water cycle, uses of water. They looked elegant when they recited thirukkural and aathichudi. The little learners phonics skills were awesome which was appreciated by the parents. They were very happy to see the confident faces of their children. The highlight of the day was when the tiny tots enacted like animals. At the background we had photographic slides shared by the class teacher which were the memories of the year 2018- 2019. The event came to an end with an outstanding dance performance by the children. Parents too encouraged their children with their energetic dance. The teacher thanked the parents and the parents too thanked the teacher. It was a moment of pride for both the teacher and parents. As we say in general learning for a baby starts from home. Velammal NewGen, Medavakkam is a home away from home. Students are nurtured by loving and caring teachers.
